| Objective | The Artists Michael Joseph and Paige Obrig were so moved by the events of September 11th that they were obliged take action. As artists they have put their creative talents together to create the “We the People Banner”. They set aside their day jobs to embark on this long, interesting journey through the United States. To sense the pulse of a nation in grief, and to hear the astonishing stories from firefighters, police, rescue personnel, and others who were involved in the efforts at Ground Zero, The Pentagon, and Flight 93. As with many other individuals that were doing something, they wanted to make sure that America was intact, that it was OK, that as a people we are united. Michael Joseph and Paige Obrig are residents of Ft Lauderdale, FL and have been active in the South Florida art scene and community for many years. ![]() Michael is well known for his professional career as a fine art photographer. He is a self-taught artist born in Methuen, Massachusetts on June 12, 1962. He uses the traditional medium of 35mm black & white photography to capture an extraordinary view of the ordinary. His transformation of architecture and urban landscapes clearly exemplify creativity, wonderment, and the joy of discovery. 1969. Her interest in art is mainly on the extreme hobbyist level, enjoying
painting, ceramics, and photography. She also is very active in most
sports and recreation. Paige has a devoted career to caring for animals.
She has worked and studied at a Pet Emergency Hospital since graduating
High School. As soon as you met her, you know her compassion and healing
sense is undeniably genuine, and truly a gift.
