We arrived at the FD as scheduled early this morning. It was at shift change, and there were many firefighters there waiting to sign the banner. We began a new section alongside with all the others we had filled up so far. It was getting very big, and a lot of work to handle. The media was there to cover the event, and to help us invite people to come and sign the banner here.
We were also invited on a tour of the Central Command Division for all area 911 calls. It is a remarkable operation, and we had the chance to speak with some of the personnel working there. Most of the conversation was relative to the events of September 11th. We learned a great more about what goes on, and the people behind it. They collectively made a kind contribution to our project, and of course in appreciation we gave them all posters. Paige and I spent the rest of the day back at the hotel relaxing and enjoying the amenities. She was going back home for a couple of days for a work-related call, and I was going to have to make the long drive to Denver alone.
