We had arrived the night before, and had arranged for hotel accommodations. In the morning we made our way to find a FD. We again had unconfirmed plans for a banner presentation anywhere. And again, as it would often be, the appropriate situation had presented itself. We located a FD right downtown near the Capitol. We began to share the project with them, and we were told that this was a good place to have come to.
It turned out that there was a special scheduled public event taking place here this same morning. The media was there covering a live broadcast in which Energy Secretary, Spencer Abrahams was speaking. We had the opportunity to meet, and have him sign the banner along with several other city officials.
That was our morning, and we were going to make three stops on this day. The states we planned to visit are in very close proximity to each other, and this would help to keep us on schedule. Our afternoon visit would be in Baltimore MD.
