Peter Max Studios, 37 W 65th St
I had met Peter Max for the first time back in 1998 and over the years we had become close friends, and he invited me to his studio on many occasions. Peter admired my fine art photography. I told him he was inspiration and mentor to me. Up at his studio on this day, he was delighted and honored to see the banner and be part of it. Peter knelt on the floor in front of the banner section we had brought up, and he impulsively began to draw one of his very recognizable iconic images, “Lady liberty”.
New York City Police Department, 1479 Broadway
After leaving Peter Max studio, we went over to Times Square to the well-known Police Department that is located there. We gave then many posters and several Policemen signed the banner.
New York City Fire Museum, 278 Spring St
From there, we went to the New York City Fire Museum to meet with more Fire Fighters that where in town from all over the world. We gave more posters and more Firefighters signed the banner. What a nice day.
