We arrive here just about noontime, and went straight to the FD. They were anticipating our arrival. The project also gave us the occasion to get to know each other, and have some personal conversation about September 11th. We were always interested in knowing how it directly related to the people we would meet, and definitely wanted to hear their stories. They as well proudly donated their FD patch to the banner.

Before leaving town, we stopped at a Kinko’s to catch up on doing some advance tour work. There was a lot photo copying, and faxing to keep up with. And one of us always seemed to be on the cell phone, and the only break we would get from that was when the signal faded while driving through the desert. We navigated late into the night by a beautiful moonlit sky, and made it to Flagstaff AZ.
