Washington City FD Station 61, 111 North 100 East
Dwayne Isom, Fire Chief
The accommodations were spectacular. There department had all the amenities of a large family house. It had a 6 bay garage filled with new trucks and fire rescue equipment. Unlike the busy metropolitan cities we have visited, this was a quite dessert town, except for the semi-regular emergency highway calls. The FD was entirely staffed voluntarily, with all family members spanning 3 generations of firefighters. We spent most of the day talking, and sharing our adventures. We were also welcomed to use their office machines to do our daily task of tour advancing, and paper work. We managed to get a lot done here, and were set up all the way through the next few weeks ahead. Next stop was Las Vegas NV.
